A pet flight nanny escorts pets on planes to help them get to their destinations quickly and safely. Most pets will be under 20 lbs and fly in-cabin on a commercial flight but there are several ways a flight nanny can coordinate pet travel to help dogs, cat, rabbits, or birds reunite with their humans.
Watch my flight nanny vlogs to get an idea of the diversity of clients I travel with.
This career is a great fit for:
✅ Pet sitters, dog walkers, breeders and groomers who want to add a new service to their tool box
✅ New graduates transitioning into career-hood
✅ Newly retired active individuals
✅ Corporate burn-outs who want to transition into a new service
❌ Airline employees or family members with benefits
❌ Individuals who just need a JOB (we are building partnerships, not hiring employees)
❌ No experience with animals
❌ Not an experienced flyer
Anyone traveling with pets for a profit must be registered with the USDA and follow the guidelines of the Animal Welfare Act. Learn how to register with the USDA by watching this free preview of my flight nanny course.
A flight nanny can profit anywhere from $300-2000 for one flight nanny job depending on the distance, length and complexity of the trip. Most nannies who start with domestic airport to airport trips can profit $300-600 per delivery.
You are essentially building your own business, finding clients, coordinating pickup and delivery, and offering care and communication throughout the process.
To learn more about the client workflow, how to find clients and price your services, and how to actually fly with a pet on a commercial plane try the Flight Nanny Mini Course.
I only work with people I know and trust. My recommendation is to watch all of the free resources listed above, complete the Flight Nanny Mini Course, and then we can discuss ways to work together.
